Do you know that? You want to peel a hard-boiled egg and then it looks like someone has nibbled it from all sides? 🐭😅

To prevent this, here is a very simple trick: 💡
Just add a good pinch of baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) to the cooking water before adding the eggs.💧🔥

Why does this help? 🤔
Baking soda is basic (alkaline) and increases the pH value of the water. 📈
This allows the water to penetrate through the porous eggshell 🥚🔍 and changes proteins in the egg white under the shell that are responsible for "sticking" to the shell.
The egg now separates more easily from the inside - and you have a perfectly smooth peeled egg in no time.
