The CARBONIT NFP Premium is a sintered activated carbon block filter with a high wall thickness. It was awarded the Saxony-Anhalt Innovation Prize in 1998 and was scientifically verified.
This sintered activated carbon block filter focuses on the chemical-physical removal of undesirable ingredients in drinking water, e.g. due to the influences of the house installation, and offers a high level of protection against bacteria, heavy metals, pesticides, polar pesticides and drug residues. This filter combines the well-known adsorptive powers of sintered activated carbon (e.g. pesticides) with mechanical water filtration (e.g. bacteria).
Minerals dissolved in the water remain present.

Compared to our combination filters of activated carbon block and membrane, there is twice the amount of activated carbon for water filtration.
CARBONIT filter cartridges are consistently manufactured without additives (e.g. silver) and are subject to permanent, external monitoring by the Bavarian State Trade Authority (LGA), a company of the TÜV Süd group. By avoiding additives, we define a purity requirement that exceeds the strict German food law.
However, changing the cartridge sooner may be necessary if the water flow noticeably decreases. This is not a defect in the filter used, but rather an indication of an increased occurrence of fine particles in unfiltered water.
Every time you change the filter, the flat seals on the cartridges are changed (always included in the replacement cartridge package). This always ensures perfect sealing and functionality. Any biofilm contamination in the water filter is also removed.
