Just as the cold season comes to an end, we often get hit particularly hard by colds. ❄️🤧 There are several reasons why this is the case. A significant factor is likely the past and prolonged lack of light, as sunshine can do far more than just provide vitamin D. ☀️🔋
Another reason is probably the more indulgence-oriented diet during the winter months, which, with its high sugar and fat content, burdens the gut, the cradle of our immune system. Finally, there is our modern and often non-seasonal diet, where we often continue to eat cooling foods like cucumbers, tomatoes, bananas, citrus fruits, yogurt, and quark even in winter, which, according to TCM, can throw us out of energetic balance and promote colds. 🥒🍅🍌
Against this background, the question arises whether chicken soup, traditionally recommended in many cultures for colds and flu, can actually help, or if it's just a myth. 🤔❓
In this blog post, I'm going to take a closer look at chicken soup for you. 🔍🥣
